| Personal History | Jane's parents are space « boomers » in the Earth Cargo Service. She travelled in space until she decided to study medicine on Earth, in Australia. This huge change in settings fascinated her for a few years. Down the line, however, she started craving for the stars once more even as she understood that she had hopelessly outgrown her old way of life. Under the fresh threats of the Earth-Romulan war, the answer was the (at that time) United Earth Starfleet Academy, where Jane’s MD facilitated entrance. Her studies focused on officer training and Xenobiology. After she passed, she put in 3 years of regular posted Fleet service, becoming a well-noted officer. Upon her request however, she traded chances of further promotion for an admission into the Interspecies Medical Exchange, a programme set up by Vulcan in the 30’s. In her 4 years with the Exchange, Jane bounced around most of their facilities, further honing her skills as a medical practitioner and researcher. She built a sound network of friends and contacts along the way. With the young UFP expanding, turning out faster starships and exploring more than ever before, came a need for personnel. Jane was recalled to fill the position of Chief Medical Officer at Sentinel Station. While having some mixed feelings, she considers the Delphic Expanse as an opportunity to challenge her skills. |
